Aventurine

Aventurine (sometimes spelled "adventurine") is a green form of quartz with tiny inclusions of mica which give it its sparkle.  It is frequently used in jewellery.

Its name comes from the Italian for "adventure" and it is said to bring opportunity, giving luck and encouragement to those who are adventurous in gambling and in love!  It also reinforces decisiveness and amplifies your leadership qualities.

Excellent for stabilising the emotions, it has been used for those in psychotherapy.  It is also a good general healer and can be used anywhere on the body.  Sleeping with it helps you release old blocks and heal resistant areas.  It aligns all your bodies and helps you align with the Divine Blueprint and its soothing energy absorbs negative patterns that are not part of it.  

The deep green of the stone soothes the mind and helps alleviate fear.  It balances the Yin Yang forces within you and helps you develop your creativity.  While associated primarily with the heart chakra, it also helps open the throat chakra.

Aventurine has been used to alleviate disorders of the lungs, heart, adrenal glands and urogenital systems, as well as to stimulate nerve and muscle tissues.
