Azurite - Balancing, Understanding Light

Azurite comes in crystalline form and in a more granular form, the latter often being in nodules or rounded humps.  Tiny crystals often mass with malachite, sometimes with chrysocolla and malachite, all copper based minerals.  In the Middle Ages and the Renaissance the gorgeous pure azure used to be ground up for paint, as was lapis lazuli.

The granular form is a softer blue and is more gentle and soothing than the deep midnight blue crystals which are more energising.  The crystals create movement which can lead to balance if you are ready for rebalancing. 

Azurite blends the flow between heart and 3rd eye, helping the latter to open if needed, enhancing your spiritual and psychic awareness.  It assists this flow to become available for use at physical level.  It is healing to the endocrine glands, especially the pituitary and thyroid.  It also helps balance the whole electro-chemical system in the body.  As an elixir it improves assimilation and use of the trace elements needed for a healthy metabolism, it is sometimes used for hypothyroidism.  Put in the bath, it can stimulate awareness of where in the body to direct healing light, then helps this light be used to best effect.

Azurite clears the mind, helping your intuition be integrated with your conscious thought processes, this is also a help in meditation.  It enhances lucid dreaming and helps you remember your dreams.

The quality of light brought through by Azurite is particularly needed by the Earth at the moment.  Wearing Azurite can strengthen your bond with Gaia, through Love.  It helps you develop your own individuality as a creative consciousness within the focus of Earth and physical existence, assisting you to recognise your own unique creative qualities, opening to creative ideals and your creative potential when you interact with light at the more subtle levels of vibration.

The beautiful colour can bring calm and soothe stress and confusion.  This colour is often used when painting the Madonna's cloak and is one of the colours of Heaven.  Used on the throat chakra it can help you clearly state your needs while dispelling excess emotion.

When Azurite is with Malachite, it is particularly helpful when you are actively  clearing your subconscious of unproductive behaviour and thought patterns.  It helps you integrate each learning experience and anchor more light into the physical.  It also helps you feel more comfortable with all aspects of yourself.  It can also help release negative programming about being with or working with groups.
