MALACHITE

Malachite is a copper based mineral and is often found with Azurite and/or Chrysocolla.  It has various forms and can be druzy, botroidal or stalagmite.  When polished, it has wonderful swirls and patterns, no two pieces alike.

Malachite was once the stone of kings and those attributed with special divine privileges.  It has been used to make spectacular furniture, clocks and boxes for noble houses - imagine eating from a table top made entirely of malachite!  Nowadays it is usually used in jewellery, boxes and small bowls although larger pieces can still be found, particularly in South Africa which is one of the main sources of Malachite..

Malachite can help you find your place with the Plan, it draws out misperceptions that need to be refocused for clearing, particularly at emotional level, and it helps you balance your creative flow with that of others.  Using Malachite, you can see how your own dynamic energy connects into the dynamic power of the Earth, when you share that power you have more abundance in every way.  Malachite has also been used for psychic protection.

Malachite can also help you understand why you allow others to use your creative power rather than becoming responsible for it yourself.  It was used in Atlantis to focus astral power and if you find difficulty in using this stone it could be that you misused power in the past, or were unwilling to take responsibility for your own power.

It is said to protect against radiation and alleviate asthma, arthritis, swollen joints, tumors, growths, broken bones and torn muscles.  It can also be used to regulate the RNA/DNA structures, to align and cleanse the cellular structure, enhance the immune system and ease birthing and vertigo.

As an elixir, Malachite helps you set boundaries, particularly emotional ones, so you can focus your understanding and power at physical level.  It clarifies the emotions, allowing recognition and release of negative experiences, including those one can not recall.  It can also release burn-out in healers, enhance altruism.  It opens the heart and throat chakras and balances the solar plexus, aligning etheric and emotional bodies and aiding expression.  However, it is recommended by Melody that only the polished form of Malachite be used for making an elixir "via the normal method".
