Spheres

A circle (and by extension a sphere) is a wonder.  It has no beginning and no end, yet encompasses everything.  It holds everything safely and keeps anything out even more safely - aim a projectile at one and it will bounce off, the ricochet likely to harm the sender.  A creature in fear will curl up into a ball, a position you also need to adopt when falling.  A sphere is an energy saver, it produces much less friction when in motion than other shapes do.  Most truly great structures form a circle or sphere, whether created at the Dawn of Man or ready for this Millennium.  Look up in the sky and our Sun appears round, our Moon is at her loveliest when full and we know that our own planet is round.

A circle has always been a magickal place and a place of safety, whether surrounded by stone or a lover's arms.

Crystal formed into a sphere radiates its energy all around, forming a sphere of influence all around it.  Circles within circles.  Crystal spheres carry a fascination with them.  Hand a transparent one to a child and his first instinct is to look through it.  Worlds within worlds, rainbows, shapes, mists and veils - the stuff of visions.  Spheres can accummulate great energy and impart it gently.  So tactile, they love being handled and repay this with special insights, something long tapped into by those who use them for scrying or pathworking.
